Nun Kyriaki (Koutsou), the mother of Abbot Ephraim of Vatopedi Monastery, reposed in the Lord last night, full of days, reports ortodoxia.info.

The nun, hailing from Peristeronopigi, Cyprus, reposed in her 95th year of life.

Her funeral began at 1:00 PM Cypriot time today in the Church of St. Nektarios in the southern village of Tersefanou, and her burial will take place at 3:00 PM at the Holy Monastery of the Panagia (“All-Holy”) Amyros in the village of Apsiou, near Limassol.

In addition to Archimandrite Ephraim, Mother Kyriaki is survived by her children Tasos, Niki, and Presbytera Krystall, and grandchildren, a sister, and other relatives.

Her family has requested that donations be made for the charitable work of the St. Nektarios parish in lieu of flowers.

May her memory be eternal!
