The Holy Fire will be brought to the “Our Sunny World” assistance center for children and adults with autism in Moscow on the feast of Pascha.
The holy flame will arrive in Moscow from Jerusalem in time for the patriarchal service in Moscow’s Christ the Cathedral, and will spread out to various churches, monasteries, and locales throughout Russia. The service with the Holy Fire at Our Sunny World will be celebrated on Pascha afternoon, according to the center’s website.
“The uniqueness of this service is that it will be held in specially created, maximum comfort conditions, and will be especially adapted for people with autism and other developmental issues. Specialists from our center will help in the process of worship; we are very glad to have not only calm children but also children who are used to being more active,” the center’s message reads.
Our Sunny World is one of the first organizations in Russia engaged in rehabilitating children and young people with autism and other developmental disorders. It has been in operation since 1991.
Earlier it was reported that the Holy Fire would also be taken to the Siberian city of Kemerovo, where 64 people, including 41 children, recently perished in a fire in the Winter Cherry shopping mall.
