2018 Mission Team of the UOC of the USA Completes Missionary Activities in Ukrainian Orphanages
DAY 1
This year as we entered the Apostle’s Fast, during which we honor and commemorate the work and sacrifice of Christ’s Disciples, our own Apostles began their journey to spread the love of Christ across the globe, following the instructions of the Lord and the example of the first Twelve who spread the Word throughout the Lands.
After being Commissioned as Missionaries by His Eminence Metropolitan Antony at the Metropolia Center of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA, the members of the Mission Team ... boarded a plane and flew across the ocean to Kyiv, Ukraine, from where they would begin their mission work.
Arriving in Kyiv on the 5th of June, the team lost little time before embarking on the true purpose of their travels – visiting the orphans and sharing the joy of Christ with them.
