The National Preserve of Tauric Chersonese in Stavropol will begin work to improve and beautify the territory of the font where, according to tradition, the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles St. Vladimir the Great was baptized, preserve director Elena Morozova announced at a press conference yesterday, reports RIA-Novosti Crimea.

“We’re going to erect interesting lightweight structures that will be a visualization of various objects. For example, the font near St. Vladimir’s Cathedral, where there is a metal rotunda—it will be more interesting and appealing. We’re going to do reconstruction on this font, which was there in ancient times, so its speaks about those times, how the rite of Baptism was celebrated,” Morozova explained.

It is also planned to beautify the territory, laying special paths and trails and installing navigation with lighting and visualizations and an audio guide.
