Photo: mitropolia.md A young priest’s wife and mother of three in Moldova has been struggling against cancer for four years now, and the family is unable to pay for the necessary treatment.
The official site of the Moldovan Orthodox Church has published the plea of Preoteasa (Matushka, Presbytera) Doina Onu:
My name’s Diona. I’m 28 years old, I’m the mother of three girls, and since 2017, I have been suffering from cancer (squamous cell carcinoma).
After many cycles of chemotherapy and radiotherapy that didn’t have much effect, the doctors suggested treatment in Germany! The cost of the treatment is $17,600 (15,000 euros)! Money we don’t have at the moment!
We can’t take out a bank loan because a year ago we bought a house with a mortgage and three loans to restore it!
That’s why I’ve come here with a request to help me!
