Two clerics and nun die from COVID in three days in Pskov Diocese

The Pskov Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church was hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic last week.

More than 200 clerics and monastics of the Russian Church have died due to complications from COVID so far, with three of them occurring in the Pskov Diocese in a three-day period last week.

On Tuesday, October 5, Mother Barsanuphia of the Nativity of the Theotokos-Snegotorsk Monastery reposed in the Lord at the age of 77.

On Wednesday, Fr. Sergei Demidov of the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul on Belov Island reposed in the Lord at the age of 50.
