Fires on the territory of Eastern Siberia began on April 11-12. The cause of the incidents was the same in each case: someone intentionally ignited dry grass. As a result of the strong wind the fire swiftly spread to villages, individual farmsteads, and camping sites. At least 1473 residential houses have been destroyed by fire.
