I wish I had the courage and zeal to tell you about this saint who rescued me from suffering and uncertainty.
Archpriest Artemy Vladimirov
As part of the special project “Mysteries of the Church” Archpriest Artemy Vladimirov speaks on the essence and meaning of each of the seven Mysteries: Baptism, Chrismation, Repentance, Communion, the Mystery of Marriage, the Mystery of the Priesthood, and Unction. Today we will talk about the Mystery of Communion, its meaning, how to prepare ourselves for this Mystery and how to maintain those gifts that a Christian receives in Communion.
Fr. John Whiteford
It is said of the Old Testament Prophets that they afflicted the comfortable, and comforted the afflicted—and that saying, while pithy, actually has a great deal of merit to it. If you have someone who is a heretic or schismatic, seeking to divide the Church, or a careless sinner whose behavior is causing scandal to the Church, such a person would be in need of some measure of affliction, to wake them up.

Last week we spent some time speaking of what it takes the build up the Church and specifically this church in this particular place. We were reminded by the Holy Apostle Paul that each and every individual within the Church receives divine gifts by the grace of the Holy Spirit.
Saint Anna was the daughter of the priest Matthan and his wife Mary. She was of the tribe of Levi and the lineage of Aaron. According to Tradition, she died peacefully in Jerusalem at age 79, before the Annunciation to the Most Holy Theotokos.
