Looking upon all this glorious fruit in God’s vineyard, we turn to ourselves and to today’s Gospel, asking the question: How can I, a great sinner, in some way remain in this Divine Garden, together with the Mother of God and all the saints, together with everything which is beautiful and pure in Heaven and on Earth.
Today's Feast is the result of all that has gone before it. The purpose of all the events in Christ's life, from His Conception to the Resurrection and the Ascension and Pentecost is to make Saints. That is the purpose of the Church, to make people holy.
