It was not summer as usual for some 50 Orthodox Christian high school students. They came together in Minneapolis and Chicago from nearly 30 different dioceses under the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops in the United States of America to experience Serve-X-Treme, a program focused on strengthening their understanding of Orthodox philanthropy and putting it into practice.
Hundreds of faithful participated on Sunday, September 27, 2015, for the celebration of the patronal feast of Antim Monastery in Bucharest, founded by hieromartyr St. Anthimos the Iberian, metropolitan of Wallachia.

The mission of the 40 Days for Life campaigns is to bring Christians together “with the purpose of repentance, to seek God’s favor to turn hearts and minds from a culture of death to a culture of life, thus bringing an end to abortion,” utilizing the three-pronged peaceful “attack” of prayer and fasting, constant vigil, and community outreach.
