No recent documentary film can boast of such a response among Russian viewers as the film by Archimandrite Tikhon, The Fall of an Empire—The Lesson of Byzantium. Some learned much that they did not know before, and drew conclusions from the history of Byzantium for their own lives. Some cast doubt upon Fr. Tikhon’s right to “teach” from the screen. But nearly no one who watched the “Lesson...” yawned and looked off to the side.

An exlusive documentary archive of destroyed and vandalized churches and monasteries in Kosovo
Lambros Kamperidis
The short stories of Alexandros Papadiamandis are graced with an almost indefinable quality common to all great writers. This quality would seem to derive from an enthralment combined with a certain perplexity, an irresistible pull exerted by the author's descriptions of a world of beauty and marvels which at the same time is filled with predicaments, human tragedies and humble triumphs.
A documentary about one of the last remaining spiritual centers of Orthodox faith in Kosovo today – the monastery of High Decani. This film is also a testimony that true spiritual life is ultimate diplomacy given our innate ability to forgive, show compassion, and love one another.
