On Monday, July 3, the newly-enthroned Patriarch of Bulgaria served his first Divine Liturgy as Patriarch.
Patriarch Kirill also stated that in the person of Patriarch Daniel, the Bulgarian Church has gained “a worthy successor to the ever-memorable Bulgarian Patriarchs Cyril, Maxim, and Neophyte, who did much to preserve the ancestral spiritual traditions and to establish their flock in the holy Orthodox faith."
At his enthronement on as Patriarch of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Daniil gave the faithful a word, in which he said, “the Lord knows that I did not seek this office.”
