Several clerics of the Georgian Orthodox recently issued an appeal concerning the situation with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
Two Orthodox hierarchs have reposed in the Lord in the past two weeks.
On Holy Saturday, April 18, Radojka Perić, the mother of the Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, reposed in the Lord at the age of 80.
“Worship and access to holy places is a right guaranteed by religious and worldly laws,” the Jerusalem Patriarchate firmly believes, and therefore it invites all to attend the Holy Light ceremony held annually on Holy Saturday in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
The community is the first canonical Orthodox parish in the city of Quito.
