Kutrov, Ukraine, April 3, 2019
OrthoChristian recently reported that the Ukrainian Church’s Thabor charitable foundation was seeking financial assistance for Fr. Nikolai Sliva who, along with his matushka and their two one-year-old children were forced out of their home by activists of the schismatic “Orthodox Church of Ukraine.”
The foundation’s request was more than answered by kind-hearted people from around the world, and Fr. Nikolai and his family wholeheartedly thank all who responded to their plea, Thabor reports.
According to the message, money poured in from Europe, America, and New Zealand, in addition to Ukraine. Moreover, much more money than necessary was received, and Fr. Nikolai and his family have decided to give the excess to priests and parishes in Volyn left without churches.
