On Monday, April 6, the eve of the feast of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos and the repose of St. Tikhon (Bellavin), Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia, clerics of St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York City performed an automobile cross-procession through the boroughs of New York. With the blessing of the interim Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, an icon of St. Tikhon containing a piece of his holy relics was brought in the procession.

The clergy and faithful of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA were called to pray and read the Akathist to the heavenly protector of America - the founder of St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City, St. Tikhon.
