The gold brought by the Magi is in the form of twenty-eight small pendants with various shapes (trapezoidal, rectangular, and polygonal), adorned with a fine filigree ornament. Each pendant has a different design. The frankincense and myrrh, although brought separately, were subsequently joined into small, dark, olive-sized beads.
