Another book by Hieromartyr Daniel Sysoev is now available in English translation.

Daniel Sysoev Inc., run by the widowed Matushka Julia, recently released A Chronicle of the Beginning: From the Creation of the World to the Exodus.

The book includes an in-depth look at the creation of the world, the Fall and its effects on mankind and the world, the Great Flood, the Tower of Babel, the Old Testament Patriarchs, the Exodus, and more.

Fr. Daniel also discusses the meaning and role of Divine revelation and the question of evolution. The hieromartyr is known as a staunch defender of the Patristic interpretation of the creation of the world, and during his lifetime, he served as the Secretary for the Shestodnev (Six Days) Foundation founded by the priest and geologist Archpriest Konstantin Bufeev, dedicated to the Orthodox understanding of Genesis.

The publisher describes the book:

Where was science when God was making the universe? To this day the question of the world’s creation and the origin of the nations is the subject of numerous debates and disputes. The author asserts that Christian teaching on the origin of the universe in no way contradicts authentic science. The reader is presented with proof of the world’s divine origins, substantiated by modern scientific discoveries. This book gives a detailed description of the most enigmatic period in human history—the time from Adam until the exodus of Israel from Egypt. “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar” (Prov. 30:5–6).
