Thanks to kind-hearted donors, a Korean Orthodox mission parish is able to remain in its building.

On July 27, the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia’s Fund for Assistance wrote:

We just got off a call with Fr. Paul Kang from the Korean Orthodox Mission.

They are 4 days away from being thrown out of their church…

Won’t you help today?

We need to raise $15K urgently, so that Fr. Paul can pay rent (in arrears) on July 31.

Can we count on your support?

Archpriest Paul Kang is the priest of the Nativity of the Mother of God parish community in Okgye-dong. ROCOR also has the Holy Trinity Skete and St. Anna Church in Samchok-si.

Just five days later, the Fund for Assistance wrote:

A couple of days ago, we wrote about the horrible situation with the Korean Orthodox Mission.

We just wanted to tell you that we were days away from disaster, but – thanks to generous people like you – we collected over $20,000!!!

That's absolutely amazing! Thank you so much!
