Archbishop Daniel of Pamphilon of the Ukrainian orthodox Church of the USA (Patriarchate of Constantinople) has been hospitalized.

Metropolitan Anthony, the head of the UOC-USA, writes:

I ask you to keep His Eminence Archbishop Daniel in your prayers over the next several days. Vladyka was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday evening suffering from pain in his side and back. After thorough physical examination and testing, his physicians decided to keep him nearby for observation to determine the source of the pain in case it was a reoccurrence of his illness of nearly three years ago. I was able to have a lengthy visit with him this afternoon and am happy to report that even in pain, he has not lost his sense of humor! He was able to speak with his mother and family in Buchach, Ukraine to assure them that he was doing well and being well cared for.

Abp. Daniel has served as a hierarch of the UOC-USA for 15 years. He was elevated to the rank of archbishop in 2016.
