Metropolitan of Moldova undergoes successful back surgery

The head of the Moldovan Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) underwent a successful back surgery this week.

His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir of Chișinău and All Moldova, 81, underwent spinal surgery on Wednesday, march 20, and is being monitored in the hospital, the Church reports.

The Metropolitan’s procedure took place in a specialized clinic in Moscow. He expresses his sincere thanks to all who prayed for him and offers his paternal blessing to all the faithful of the Moldovan Orthodox Church.

The Church’s message concludes: “Let us pray together for his health and strength to overcome this trial with fortitude and faith.”
