Residents of the village Center B in the African state of Kenya (Baringo County) are undergoing catechization in preparation for receiving the Sacrament of Baptism, reports the website of the African Exarchate of the Moscow Patriarchate. There are 50 adults and children in the community in the village of Center B.

Currently, the local people who have expressed a desire to be baptized are being instructed through catechetical sessions by Deacon Ioann Shilesi of the Lugari Deanery.

After one of these sessions, on June 25, 2024, Fr. Ioann and the catechumens began setting up a place to conduct services.
