According to a new presidential decree, Russia will offer a simplified resettlement process for those who embrace traditional moral values.

The order was signed by President Putin yesterday, August 19, establishing a 3-month visa for those who reject the policies of their countries “imposing destructive neoliberal ideological attitudes that contradict traditional Russian spiritual and moral values.”

A simplified process is then offered for a temporary residence permit. Applicants don’t have to pass the usual Russian language, history, and legislation test and are considered outside the annual quota for permits issued.

According to the Fundamentals of State Policy for the Preservation and Strengthening of Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values:

Traditional values include life, dignity, human rights and freedoms, patriotism, citizenship, service to the homeland and responsibility for its fate, high moral ideals, a strong family, creative work, the priority of the spiritual over the material, humanism, mercy, justice, collectivism, mutual assistance and mutual respect, historical memory and continuity of generations, and the unity of the peoples of Russia.

Russia will compose a list of states that impose unhealthy values on their citizens.
