Archbishop Anastasios of Albania hospitalized with flu

The primate of the Albanian Orthodox Church has been hospitalized as a precaution.

The Church announced yesterday:

His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios of Albania was admitted preventively to the Hygeia Hospital of Tirana for monitoring, after showing symptoms of seasonal flu.

His health condition is completely stable, and his attending physicians express their optimism.

The Archbishop, 95, underwent heart surgery in July 2020 and was hospitalized later that year with COVID.
