Clergy from five Local Orthodox Churches concelebrated at the Divine Liturgy on September 28 at the Serbian Orthodox Church of the Holy Archangel Michael in Mulhouse, France, with His Grace Bishop Marko of Delčevo and Kamenica of the Macedonian Orthodox Church-Ohrid Archbishopric as the main celebrant.

Bp. Marko served with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Justin of Western Europe of the Serbian Orthodox Church, whose jurisdiction includes the parish, reports the Diocese of Delčevo.

Concelebrating with Bp. Marko were Protosingel Maxim (Ilić), the rector of the church who was marking 15 years since his ordination to the priesthood, along with clergy from the Russian Orthodox Church, Serbian Orthodox Church, Romanian Orthodox Church, Bulgarian Orthodox Church, and Macedonian Orthodox Church-Ohrid Archbishopric.

After the Gospel reading, Bp. Marko delivered a sermon to the congregation, congratulating Fr. Maxim on his anniversary and wishing him many more years of service, along with God’s blessing, health, and zealous ministry to the Church of Christ. Orthodox faithful of various nationalities attended the Liturgy, demonstrating the supranational character of the Orthodox Church, which Bp. Marko emphasized in his remarks.

A meal was served for all attendees following the service.

The day before, Bp. Marko celebrated the feast of the Exaltation of the Life-giving Cross at the Russian Orthodox Church of All Saints in Strasbourg, where Archimandrite Philip Ryabikh serves as rector. Fr. Maxim concelebrated the vigil service on the evening of September 26, and Fr. Philip later joined the concelebration at the Serbian church on September 28.
