Patristic Nectar Publications has announced the release of a new title: Contraception and the Orthodox Church by Dr. Tikhon Pino.

In an email announcement, the press writes:

Contraception and the Orthodox Church offers a clear and thorough exploration of artificial contraception through the lens of Orthodox Christian teaching. Drawing on the Holy Fathers, synodal documents, and modern theological discussion, Dr. Tikhon Pino presents a compelling case for the Orthodox Church’s historic opposition to contraception, an issue of growing moral urgency in today’s world.

What You’ll Find Inside:

  • English translations of the 1937 & 1978 Encyclicals of the Church of Greece

  • Engagement with Patristic Tradition

  • Critical responses to contemporary positions within Orthodoxy

This volume is an essential resource for clergy, married couples, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Orthodox moral teaching.

The book is available in paperback for $12.99.

Dr. Pino also recently gave an interview to Patristic Nectar, offering an overview of the topic.
