Church most trusted institution in Moldova

The Orthodox Church is the most trusted institution in Moldova according to recent polling.

According to the latest survey from the Institute of Marketing and Polls, conducted between November 18 and December 4, 2025, 61% of residents of the Republic of Moldova trust the Church.

Moldova’s population is 98% Orthodox, with the Church in the country represented by both the Russian and Romanian Patriarchates.

Educational institutions (kindergartens, schools, universities) ranked second with 53%, followed by local public authorities at 39%.

The office of the president received trust from 28% of respondents, the government from 20%, and parliament from 18%.

The media enjoyed trust from only 16% of the population, while the Moldovan justice system was trusted by 12%.
