The St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary Mission Choir was honored to perform at a White House holiday event last week.

The choir from St. Tikhon’s, a seminary of the Orthodox Church in America located in northeastern Pennsylvania, performed as part of the 2025 White House Holiday Open House on December 17, the Seminary reports.

The Mission Choir, led by Fr. Caleb Lewis, Director of Music and Lecturer in Liturgical Music, and joined by Brian (Seraphim) Cardell, Director of the St. Patriarch Tikhon Library, together with members of the St. Tikhon’s Monastery Music Program, “offer[ed] hymns in celebration of the Lord’s Nativity to the general public touring the White House to view the Christmas decor.”
