Post-graduate studies representative visits the Russian Theological Seminary in Paris

Paris, December 7, 2010

On December 1–2, 2010, at the blessing of Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, the secretary of the Sts. Kirill and Methodius Education Council for general ecclesiastical post-graduate studies, A. I. Mramornov, visited the Russian Theological Seminary in Paris, where he acquainted himself with that institution's activities, and met with its rector, Hieromonk Alexander (Sinyakov), reports DECR Communication Services.

Mr. Mramornov also gave a lecture at the seminary entitled, "The role of revolutionary tribunals in repressions against the Russian Orthodox Church during the early years of the Soviet regime."

On December 3, Mr. Mramornov also visited the St. Serge Orthodox Theological Institute, were he was received by its dean, Archpriest Nicholai Chernokrak. The two discussed forms of possible academic contact between the two institutes of higher education.
