St. Sergius Institute in Paris on the verge of closure

Paris, July 4, 2013

In several days the institute is celebrating the 90th anniversary since its foundation. However, the funds not only for celebrating this event, but also for the educational establishment’s functioning is most probably very limited.

On the institute's official website, its rector Archpriest Nikolai Ozolin has addressed the faithful with an appeal for financial support, so that this famous center of Orthodox theology may keep going.

"Because of the financial crisis our famous theological institute is struggling to survive. In several months we will not be able even to pay salaries to our teachers and administrative staff," noted Father Nikolai in his interview with the media.
