About 20 Icons stolen by unidentified persons from a Church in the region of Perm

Police in the Perm territory of Russia are searching for unidentified persons who have stolen icons from the Orthodox Church of the village of Yugo-Kamsky, reported a press service staff member of the Chief Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the region to Interfax-Religion.

The robbers broke into the Church at night and took away about 20 icons. A special operative investigational group has been created for investigation of the crime and it is currently working at the scene of crime.

Officers of the criminal investigation department have also joined in the investigation. The cost of the stolen icons is being ascertained.
