Mosaic icons began to be applied on the Romanian National Cathedral’s iconostasis

Artists have begun to apply mosaic icons on the iconostasis of the National Cathedral in Bucharest, patriarchal adviser Vasile Cracaoanu announced Thursday.

The mosaic will cover almost 408 m² and will be completed by the end of October 2018. The mosaic-covered iconostasis will be blessed at the National Cathedral’s consecration ceremony that will be led by His Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on November 25.
