Nicosia, Cyprus, August 10, 2018
A new photo competition, “Colours of Orthodoxy. Cyprus,” has been organized by the Church of Cyprus, OrthPhoto.net, the Cyprus Photographic Society, and the Publishing Department of the Polish Orthodox Church to present the diversity and beauty of Orthodoxy in Cyprus. The goal is to present Christian life in Cyprus to a wider audience through the contest, which will culminate with an album and an exhibition.
Photos are being accepted in the following categories:
Churches (architecture, frescos, crosses, tombs, landscape)
People (ordained and lay, portrait, etc.)
Reportage (Church events, pilgrimages, feasts, etc.)
Occupied area (Orthodox heritage under Turkish occupation)
All entries must be received by August 27, 2018.
The following prizes are available:
Grand Prize: 600 EURO,
1st prize in each category: 300 EURO,
2nd prize in each category: 200 EURO,
3rd prize in each category: 100 EURO,
Honorable Mention: photo album from one of the partner publications
