Charity Fund From Russia Delivers 6000 School Supply Kits For First Graders In Donetsk

Charity Organization From Russia Delivered To Donetsk nearly 6 thousand School stationery sets For First Graders. The representatives of the great international charitable fund of Prince Svyatoslav handed first-graders six thousand sets of school stationery.

“We brought the school stationary sets for first graders in Donetsk from the International Charitable Fund named Grand Prince Sviatoslav. Kits include diaries, notebooks, sketchbooks, pens and briefcases», - said a representative.

In the Mayor’s Office, it was stressed that the goods will be distributed among all the schools in the metropolitan area. International Charitable Fund named Grand Prince Sviatoslav was established in the year 2015. The main goal is to help those left without livelihoods in devastated cities, our children of Donbass. The first humanitarian aid with school supplies was delivered to Debaltseve August 21, 2015 year.

The Church of St. John of Kronstadt in Kirovske (the Donetsk region) was destroyed on August 23, 2014: during an evening service a shell hit the church building. As a result 3 people were killed and 7 seriously injured. Services are currently held in the Sunday school which is still unfinished. However, despite its own critical situation, the congregation nevertheless finds an opportunity to support those who are in a worse situation.

With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kyrill of Moscow and All Russia and His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, local clergyman and laity collected and sent over 7 tons of goods, medicine and food to the residents of Southeastern Ukraine on Wednesday, April 29, 2015.

3,500 food hampers were purchased with Church funds and handed over to the needy. The total weight of the humanitarian aid was 16 tons.
