By the end of this year, a new mobile app, “My Faith: A Religious Guide Around Moscow,” will be launched, helping residents and pilgrims to the Russian capital seek out religious sites shown on a map of the city, pravoslavie.fm reports.
Users of the new smartphone program will be able to find about 830 religious sites, public organizations, and religious stores around the capital, according to Anton Paleev, the Chairman of the Moscow City Duma’s Commission on Affairs of Public Associations and Religious Organizations.
The app will be launched on Android and iOS platforms. In addition to shrines, churches, and religious bookstores, the app will contain information on totalitarian sects, including advice on how to protect oneself from them.
