With the blessing of Archimandrite Oleg (Cherepanin), the Russian Orthodox representative in Thailand and dean of the patriarchal parishes in the Kingdom of Thailand, two new books, a liturgical collection, and The Orthodox Church: History and Teachings by Bishop Alexander (Mileant), were published on Monday in the Thai language, reports the site of the Russian Orthodox Church in Thailand.

The liturgical collection contains the order of services most often celebrated in Thailand parishes for Great Vespers, Festal Matins, the Hours, and the Divine Liturgy.

The book The Orthodox Church: History and Teachings by Bp. Alexander was translated from English by Irina (Kultkhida) Luangiosluachakul. Illustrations were done by the famous Moscow Orthodox artist Elena Cherkasova. Editing was done by a group under the direction of Ksenia Bychkova.

The book will soon be sent to the patriarchal parishes throughout Thailand. There are currently eight Russian Orthodox parishes and one monastery in Thailand.

Financial support for the publication of the book came from the Fund for the Orthodox Church in Thailand.
