A new video has been produced in honor of the 30th anniversary of the resumption of monastic life in the Kiev Caves Lavra, being celebrated this year. The video is available on the Lavra’s main website and its YouTube page.
With the blessing of the abbot of the Holy Dormition-Kiev Caves Lavra, His Eminence Metropolitan Paul of Vyshogorod and Chernobyl, the video takes the viewer on an in-depth tour throughout the monastery complex, showing, most importantly, the caves with the relics of the many saints who lie in repose there, prayerfully protecting the monastery throughout the centuries.
The video also offers a tour through the monastery’s various churches and shows the ancient printed publications preserved in the monastery’s library.
The scenes are shown against the soundtrack of a moleben with the Akathist to All the Saints of the Caves, as sung by the brotherhood choir of the Kiev Caves Lavra.
The film is sure to be of interest to all Orthodox Christians around the world.
