Two bomb threats called in for Moscow’s Christ the Savior Cathedral in one week

Two fake bomb threats were called in for Moscow’s Christ the Savior Cathedral within a few days last week.

OrthoChristian reported on the first threat on Thursday, December 5, referring to an Interfax article from December 3, and on December 6, Interfax reported on a second threat.

The Moscow city operational services were called out to the cathedral, a source familiar with the situation told Interfax.

Several Moscow courts also received bomb threats, as well as the office a large Russian energy company. Threats were called in for 350 different sites in all, Interfax reports, with about 55,000 people being evacuated for sweeps.
