July Winter Tears: “Romanov Royal Martyrs” theme song released (+ VIDEO)

Mesa Potamos, Cyprus, December 19, 2019

Press release from the Monastery of St. John the Forerunner in Mesa Potamos, Cyprus:

The project that has given us the book, The Romanov Royal Martyrs: What Silence Could Not Conceal, has taken yet another step forward.

After the production of a series of high-quality videos relating to the content of the book and offering bonus materials, the project team has now released an original book theme song and a music video, entitled “July Winter Tears.” The online page of the song, on the official book website, writes the following about the song and the music video:

“The song title is evocative of the frightful event of the murder of the Romanov family, referring to the summer month of July as having been transmuted into winter by the tragedy of the family’s death. The song, nevertheless, does not have a sombre feeling, but it shines with hope for the coming spring, rendering the family an eternal symbol of love’s victory against all evil. The music video follows the song lyrics in a ‘backward movement,’ starting with the events relating to the tragic murder, moving back to the captivity period, and ending with happy images of the family at their merriest days.”

The song is a soul-penetrating ballad with strong lyrics, featuring violin and piano as its main instruments, crowned by an excellent vocal performance by singer Geon, who is also the songwriter. The music production was done in Cyprus by Airland Music. All the musicians that have contributed to the recording of the song are also based in Cyprus.

The song has been officially released and is now available to stream and download on all major music platforms, such as Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, YouTube Music, Pandora, Google Play, Amazon Music and many more.
