On December 23, OrthoChristian reported that the new diptychs for the Greek Orthodox Church in 2020 were published without mention of the so-called “Orthodox Church of Ukraine” or its primate Epiphany Dumenko, according to a report from the Greek outlet Oukraniko.

The diptychs include the Churches and hierarchs considered canonical by the Greek Church, including the primates whom Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens commemorates in the Divine services. He began commemorating Epiphany Dumenko on November 10 after formally recognizing him in a letter dated October 21.

However, OrthoChristian has since learned that the new diptychs do, in fact, include Epiphany Dumenko and his OCU.

In the section listing the primates of the Patriarchal and autocephalous Churches, Epiphany Dumenko is listed in the 15th position as the Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine, as can be seen in the photo below:

At the same time, His Beatitude Onuphry is also listed as the Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine in the section for the Russian Orthodox Church.

The granting of the tomos of autocephaly to the OCU on January 6 is also listed as an historic event of 2019.

The Orthodox Church of Ukraine is CANONICAL.If not, then all new autocephalos churches are schismatic, because the Ecumenical Patriarch granted them their status.

This whole ordeal is about more than Ukrainian autocelphaly. That is one of many issues that boil down to Constantinople wresting control of the worldwide Orthodox Church to the so called ecumenical patriarch. If our Bishops cave in to this then everyone will have to bow down to bartholomew and whoever takes his place when he dies. Our Patriarchs and Bishops are in a situation they don't want to be in but this is testing the Church to see who will remain true or not. Constantinople is making it difficult for all of us but we need to continue to pray for our Patriarchs.

Oh, please stop with the Moscow as "Third Rome". It is not nor does the MP aspire to be such. Only nutters try to push this Third Rome nonsense. Historically many groups/religious leaders have tried to claim Third Rome status. Ironically, none of them were the MP. BTW I am Orthodox under ROCOR under the MP. It seems to me that Greece had their diptychs reprinted to cover their prior omissions to keep Constantinople happy. But will Greece remain happy if & when Constantinople grants autocephaly to the Macedonians?

Anaxios to the Greek synod for being bartholomews puppets. A council must be held to depose bartholomew, ieronymos, and Theodore for starters. How sad that the Greek churches serve western Interests. If anything, this proves Russia is the center Of Orthodoxy and the third Rome. Bartholomew will Be remembered as the enemy of orthodoxy and The man who led the Greek churches specifically to Ruin. May those bishops in Greece and Cyprus opposed to what is happening form their own synods. Better that than follow the path of bartholomew.

If we are in communion with the Greek Church which is in communion with schismatics, does that make us schismatics also?
