Petition against the Unjust Attack on Metropolitan Athanasios of Limassol

A letter drafted by Dr. Lakis Palazis (MD, EDIC, M.P. Adm.) and addressed to the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis, calls upon him to intervene to halt the unjust attack against Metropolitan Athanasios of Limossal by a portion of the press.

The public is invited to sign the letter in order to assist the President of Cyprus ‘to turn the institutions and forces of our homeland towards the development of our spiritual credentials with mutual respect, love and boldness in adversity. These are virtues cultivated by the presence of Metropolitan Athanasios of Limassol in our country’.

In his speech, the metropolitan, who never shies away from defense of the truth, named the deputies who voted for the decriminalization of abortion one by one and called on Cypriots not to vote for them in the next election.
