His Eminence Archbishop Jonah of Obukhov of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, abbot of Holy Trinity-St. Jonas Monastery in Kiev and head of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs, has fully recovered from the coronavirus.

“Thank God! I received the result from a repeat test. Negative. I’m healthy,” His Eminence writes on his Facebook page.

On April 9, he reported that he had tested positive for the coronavirus and was in self-isolation. The next day he was admitted to the hospital in Kiev. He was released from the hospital on April 24 and returned to his monastery.

“A low bow and gratitude to the entire staff of the Second Infection Unit of the Alexandrovskaya Hospital and to the doctors who are fighting for the health of our brethren. May God have mercy upon Lyudmila, Maria, Nikita, and Ilia!” Abp. Jonah writes.
