Williston, Florida, March 18, 2021
As part of an ongoing project to beautify the entrance to the monastery, a beautiful new cross has been erected by the front gate at Panagia Vlahernon Greek Orthodox Monastery in Williston, Florida.
The stone entry and roundabout in front of the monastery were completed a few years ago, and on Monday, March 8, a large red cross was erected to greet all those who come to the monastery.
A new iron gate was also recently installed:
Panagia Vlahernon is one of the many monasteries founded throughout North America by the Athonite missionary Elder Ephraim. The fathers of the monastery translated the text of the Vigil and Divine Liturgy services for St. Joseph the Hesychast, the spiritual father of Elder Ephraim, which was published by OrthoChristian in October with the monastery’s permission.
