Seltso, Transcarpathian Province, Ukraine, April 2, 2021
An icon of the Most Holy Theotokos recently began streaming myrrh in the Monastery of St. John the Theologian in the Ukrainian village of Seltso in the Transcarpathian Province.
Drops of myrrh are flowing down from both sides of the “Look Upon My Humility” icon, reports the Mukachevo Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
According to the abbot, Archimandrite Agapit, the icon was painted by a hierodeacon of the monastery.
The myrrh was first noticed on Monday, March 29, during the singing of an akathist. The miracle has been testified to by His Eminence Metropolitan Theodore of Mukachevo and Uzhgorod.
A news report from Ukrainian television gives a good look at the myrrh-streaming icon:
Last month, OrthoChristian reported that the wonder-working Softener of Evil Hearts Icon of the Mother of God shed blood-like tears on Pascha and Theophany.
