Church collecting info for canonization of 12 New Martyrs of Uzbekistan

The Department for the Canonization of Saints of the Diocese of Tashkent and Uzbekistan is interested in any available information, including official documents, correspondence, or simple parishioner memories about:

  • Metropolitan Arseny (Stadnitsky)

  • Archbishop Dimitry (Abashidze), Anthony in the schema

  • Archbishop Ermogen (Golubev)

  • Archbishop Gabriel (Ogorodnikov)

  • Archimandrite Boris (Kholchev)

  • Archimandrite Seraphim (Sutorikhin)

  • Archpriest Viktor Motalev

  • Archpriest Mikhail Andreev

  • Igumena Lidia (Nagornova)

  • Martyr Thomas Danilov

  • Blessed Vasily Brykin

  • Blessed Elena

During its session in March 2020, the Holy Synod of the Russian Church added 12 names to the Synaxis of the New Martyrs and Confessors.
