St. Paisios the Athonite is one of the greatest saints of the 20th century and among the most beloved saints anywhere in the Orthodox world today.
Now, his moving and inspiring life has been adapted for the small screen.
The first season of the Greek series “Agios Paisios” has already been completed, and covers the early period of his life, from his family being led out of Farasa by St. Arsenios of Cappadocia, to his childhood in Konitsa, his time in the Greek army, his initial monastic life in Konitsa, until the moment he enters Mt. Athos, reports Honey and Hemlock.
The second season will cover from the beginning of his life on Mt. Athos until his holy repose in 1994.

Last week, a new Church of St. Paisios was consecrated on the Greek island of Santorini.
