Paris cathedral choir wins international competition (+VIDEO)

With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Anthony of Korsun and Western Europe, the choir of the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Paris took part in several international competitions and choir festival.

The choir competed in the Racconto di Primavera 2021 competition in Ravenna, where it won the Grand Prix award for a choral ensemble, reports the cathedral website.

The choir also received the Grand Prix certificate for participating in the international Spring Symphony 2021 festival in Prague. The competitions included more than 1,500 musicians from 26 countries around the world.

Contestants were judged for both performance skill and creative novelty. In addition to prizes and certificates, the choir also received monetary awards, and the choir director, Marina Politova, received a personal letter of thanks from the organizers of the competitions and festivals.
