Patristic Nectar Publications is presenting a conference on “The Mother of God in Our Lives,” with a number of high-profile speakers, that begins today and runs through Sunday. The entire conference will be streamed online for participants.
And later this month, St. Vladimir’s Seminary and Orthodox Christian Leadership Initiative will present a one-day online conference on “Orthodox Life in Screen Culture.”
“The Mother of God in Our Lives” will feature talks by His Grace Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe, His Grace Bishop Basil of Wichita, Fr. Josiah Trenham, Fr. Chad Hatfield, Fr. Calinic Berger, Fr. John Parker, and Archimandrite Maximos (Constas).
Talks will focus on several of the great feasts of the Mother of God, the many titles applied to her, her relationship with Mt. Athos, and much more.

And on June 19, professor, journalist and author of the nationally syndicated “On Religion” column Terry Mattingly will present his thoughts and reflections on how screen culture contributes to rising statistics for loneliness, anxiety, gender confusion, and other issues, as well as how church leaders made use of screen technology during the pandemic.
Terry’s presentation will be followed by a discussion and Q and A hosted by Fr. Chad Hatfield, President of St. Vladimir’s Seminary, and Dr. John Mark Reynolds, President of the St. Constantine School and Orthodox Christian Leadership Initiative.
