St. Ksenia of St. Petersburg is one of the most beloved saints in the Russian Orthodox Church, and even in the entire Orthodox Church today.
Every year, thousands of pilgrims come to venerate her relics in the Smolensk Cemetery in St. Petersburg, and on January 2, a new guest house was opened to serve these pious pilgrims.
The “At Blessed Ksenia” pilgrims’ house, located at the Church of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God inside the cemetery, offers single and double economy and comfort rooms and meals, reports the Metropolis of St. Petersburg.
According to the rector of the Smolensk Church, Archpriest Evgeny Shogenov, it was decided to open a pilgrimage house at the holy site for the convenience of the guests who visit from all over the world to receive Holy Communion and pray in the chapel with St. Ksenia’s relics.
