Two teenagers who recorded themselves desecrating a chapel in a village near Nizhny Novgorod in a bout of drunkenness have been detained by police.

The incident occurred yesterday at the holy spring of St. Paphnuty of Balakhna, where the vandals broke into the chapel, smashed the altar, and then set a large fire and began to burn icons, reports smotrim.ru.

They then started drinking vodka from cups used for holy water. The young men recorded the incident, even showing their faces and saying their names on camera, and then posted the video online.
