Under the leadership of His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro of blessed memory, hundreds of thousands of Orthodox faithful took to the streets in Montenegro throughout 2020 in regular cross processions and prayers in defense of their holy sites, which the anti-Orthodox government was trying to seize from the Church.

Now the faithful are mobilizing against another threat—the LGBTQ agenda which stands against their traditional family values in Montenegro.

On Friday, October 7, His Grace Bishop Metodije of Budimlja and Nikšić led a moleben for the sanctity of marriage and the preservation of the family on the plateau in front of the Cathedral of Christ’s Resurrection in in the capital city of Podgorica, reports the Serbian Orthodox Church.

The Montenegrin primate, His Eminence Metropolitan Joanikije also prayed at the service, together with clergy from all over the country. The proclamation of the meeting was read out by Archpriest Predrag Šćepanović from Podgorica.

“We must do our best to preserve everything that our ancestors have left us as a legacy,” the Metropolitan exhorted the crowd.

There’s no future without children, Vladyka Joanikije added, giving diocesan recognition awards to Andrej and Sofija Adžić from Podgorica who have eight children, Dejan and Suzana Crnogorčević from Zeta who have seven children, and Nikola and Nadja Damjanović who have six children.

The Church organized the moleben because “events are being held that directly destroy the God-blessed marriage and family and undermine traditional values,” it said in its announcement.

The 10th Montenegro Pride march was held the next day despite the protests of the Church and the people.

A similar prayer service was held in Belgrade last month before the events of EuroPride. And according to the decision of His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije, a prayer for the sanctity of marriage and family and harmony and peace in the nation is now read at every service in all churches and monasteries.

God Bless our Orthodox Brothers and Sisters in Montenegro. What a Noble Struggle our People are engaged in, a struggle against this sodomite nonsense, a struggle against no good liberalism and nihilism, a struggle against the defile and wicked beliefs of the no good liberals. There is an unrelenting effort to try to weaken our Orthodox Faith with this sodomite garbage and other no good liberal garbage movements. This has replaced communism, the prior tool that was used to try to destroy our Holy Orthodox Faith. But our Church has survived and communism is finished! Now our Orthodox Churches, in the former Communist States, are very strong, especially the Russian Orthodox Church, the largest, and one of the most conservative of our Orthodox Churches. Do you think it is a coincidence that our Orthodox Brothers are now fighting and killing each other in the Ukraine? God Almighty what a tragedy. Our enemies have big smiles on their ugly faces. Who do you think is behind this? The internationalists are like a giant octopus with many different hands. They will use whatever hand they have to, to accomplish their goals. Their ultimate goal is to weaken the Orthodox People so when the false Messiah or Antichrist arrives, then our people will be so weak and so stupid that they will believe in this charlatan. Patriarch Kirill spoke the truth when he said the Orthodox Church is standing in the way of the Antichrist or false Messiah. Now you know why the internationalists are bad-mouthing Patriarch Kirill. And that my friends is the truth. Slava Bogu! Glory be to Our God Jesus Christ! Just my humble opinion.
